ni kozhi ni rozhi

Meet Anastasia Kryazhevskaya, the designer and inspirator of our hand-made prints that are full of love for nature and little creatures that surround us. We asked her some questions about her passion and activities:

- Anastasia, why do you love bugs so much? - I love bugs as well as other animals and insects. They never fail to surprise me with the diversity of their forms and colors and the simplicity of their lifestyle.

- How the idea of hand-made print was born? - The plan was to create the print for fabric for the first collection of GAMAYUN. I hit on the idea of hand-made print, because earlier I made drawings on clothes with acrylic paint, and I realized that this way they don’t wash off and stay on fabric much longer. But at the same time hand-drawn patterns are more timeconsuming than the industrial ones. So we decided to create several stamps, as they do it in India. For the stamps we tried different types of materials, until we have found the right one - silicone. It’s easy to use and quite durable.

- Tell us about your work and current projects. - At the moment I have several start-ups, and all of them are pretty labour-intensive. One of them is the production of mystical attributes of the human wardrobe - ni_kozhi_ni_rozhi. Besides that I’m an exhibition curator. It’s a very interesting process with a lot of pitfalls, but I enjoy it very much.
